Heavy rains have caused a landslide in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou, HK01 reports.

The landslide damaged houses, trapping 14 people under the rubble.

About 150 rescuers and firefighters have been dispatched for the search and rescue operations.

According to the latest information, five people remain under the rubble. Seven more were injured, and two have died.

Authorities have urgently evacuated thousands of local residents.
