Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the Kremlin reports.

Putin spoke about the main results of his talk with US special envoy Steve Witkoff and the preparations for his meeting with US President Donald Trump in Alaska.

The Armenian premier welcomed the actions aimed at a peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian crisis.

Separately, Pashinyan informed Putin in detail about the results of his meeting with Trump and Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev in Washington DC on August 8. The Russian president, for his part, noted the importance of measures aimed at ensuring lasting peace between Yerevan and Baku.

Also, Putin confirmed Russia's readiness to contribute to the signing of trilateral agreements on the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

In addition, the two leaders discussed matters on the bilateral agenda, and placed the respective emphasis on the development of trade and investment cooperation and interaction within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union.
