Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei condemned Australia's decision to expel Iran's ambassador, rejecting accusations of anti-Semitism as unfounded and warning that any inappropriate diplomatic actions would be met with a reciprocal response, Tasnim reported. 

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Esmail Baghaei responded to Australia's expulsion of Iran's ambassador, stressing that any inappropriate diplomatic actions would be met with retaliatory measures. 

“My colleagues are currently considering a response,” he said. 

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman categorically rejected accusations of anti-Semitism. 

“These allegations are completely unfounded, and the concept of anti-Semitism has no place in our religion. It is a concept fabricated by Western nations, and they themselves must account for their history,” he said.

According to Baghaei, Australia's decision appears to have been influenced by internal events. He pointed to recent mass protests in the country over the situation in Gaza.

“These actions against Iran, directed against diplomacy, appear to be aimed at compensating for the limited criticism that Australia directs at the Israeli regime,” he said.

Earlier, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese accused Iran of organizing at least two anti-Israel attacks in his country and announced plans to expel Iran's ambassador to Canberra. Albanese said Australia had also suspended operations at its embassy in Tehran and moved all its diplomats to a third country.
