The Union of Armenians in Russia will stage a picket near the French Embassy in Russia on the day when French Senate is discussing the bill criminalizing genocide denial, including the Armenian Genocide.

The demonstrators will express their support for the Senate chanting slogans “Long live France!”, “France should serve as an example for other states!” and others.

Last December the French parliament passed a bill criminalizing genocide denial, including the Armenian Genocide. The bill introduced by MP Valerie Boyer will be discussed in the French Senate on Monday.
