U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that since his inauguration on January 20, 2025, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has arrested over 28,000 individuals involved in violent crimes, marking a record high.

“In my administration, the FBI is doing incredible work. Since January 20, more than 28,000 violent criminals have been arrested (a record), and over 6,000 illegal firearms seized,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

He added that more than 1,700 perpetrators involved in attacks on children, around 300 human traffickers, and 2,000 members of criminal organizations have been arrested. Law enforcement has also rescued 5,000 children, according to Trump.

Additionally, 1,900 kilograms of fentanyl were seized—enough to kill 125 million people—he stated, calling the results “historic” and emphasizing that his administration is “restoring law and order in America.”

On October 15, Trump had previously reported that since the start of his second term, FBI agents had arrested at least 23,000 criminals.
