The government of Armenia plans to provide state support in 2026 to airlines that will operate new routes to Yerevan’s Zvartnots and Gyumri’s Shirak airports. This was announced by Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Davit Khudatyan during the debates on the 2026 state budget draft at the joint meeting of the standing committees of the National Assembly on Tuesday.

According to him, next year 3.6 billion drams will be allocated from the state budget to the aviation sector.

“The support concerns airlines that will be based at Zvartnots or Shirak airports during that period. Around 3 billion drams are planned to be allocated for subsidies,” Khudatyan explained.
