The number of transit flights passing through Armenia’s airspace to other countries has increased. This was announced by the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Davit Khudatyan, during the debates on the 2026 state budget draft of Armenia at the joint meeting of the standing committees of the National Assembly on Tuesday.

According to Khudatyan, the policy of the Armenian government is to develop both local and general aviation.

“The number of transit flights through Armenia to other countries has grown. The number of flights serviced by the ArmAeroNavigatsia CJSC has also increased. The vast majority of these aircraft cross the airspace of the Republic of Armenia without landing within its territory. Our function is to ensure their uninterrupted passage through Armenia’s territory. This provides additional revenue both for the CJSC and for the state budget of the Republic of Armenia,” the Armenian official explained.
