The government of Armenia will allocate 20 billion drams more in 2026 to assist the forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh than it did in 2025. Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan announced this during the debates on the 2026 state budget draft of Armenia at the joint meeting of the standing committees of the National Assembly on Thursday.
“Fifty-five billion drams will be allocated for social assistance to specific social groups in order to counter crises, to reduce and eliminate the consequences of emergencies. This is 20 billion drams, or 57.1 percent, more than last year,” Torosyan added.
According to him, this budget includes both housing assistance programs and ongoing assistance.
