To ensure state assistance for border communities, 1 billion drams are planned to be allocated from the 2026 state budget of Armenia. This was announced by the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Davit Khudatyan, during the debates on the 2026 state budget draft of Armenia at the joint meeting of the standing committees of the National Assembly on Friday.

According to the minister, this assistance concerns electricity, irrigation, and land tax payment assistance for the residents of Armenia’s border villages.

Also, financial aid to affected communities will continue.

“Under the 2026 state budget, 834.7 million drams are planned for community investments in the budgets of affected settlements and communities,” added the Armenian government member.
