Around 700 flights were canceled at major US airports on Friday due to the federal government shutdown, several American airlines have said, NBC reports.
Accordingly, American Airlines will cancel 220 flights, United Airlines — 188, Delta — 170, and Southwest — around 100.
The US government shutdown is now in its 37th day.
