The “Putin leave” banner was posted on the top of the building in front of the Kremlin in Moscow for more than an hour until police removed it.

A 140-square-meter poster was hung by the opposition activities. One of the leaders of Solidarnost political movement Ilya Yashin published the details of the action on his blog, Russian media reported. According to him, the protest action lasted only 20 minutes.

He explained why the poster was placed in front of Kremlin but not the government building where Putin’s office is.

“Putin was and is the owner of Kremlin. He is the builder and ideologist of the political system, which destroys competition in Russia,” Yashin wrote.
