Allow me also to thank the leadership of Azerbaijan for giving Armenia the opportunity to conduct direct trade by using Azerbaijan’s territory. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan stated this after the exchange of documents with visiting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia.

“In November of this year, the first ton of Kazakh grain was delivered to Armenia through Azerbaijan’s territory. This has very important political and economic significance.

Also, we have agreed to strengthen our cooperation in the field of agriculture and ensure stable supplies. By working in this direction, we have agreed to take all necessary steps.

One of the main objectives is to establish direct flights between [Armenian capital] Yerevan and [Kazakh capital] Astana. In this regard, we have concrete plans, and I hope the appropriate steps will be taken in the near future,” added the Kazakh president.”
