Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has commented on Western media reports about a meeting between Russian and US negotiators in the UAE, Kommersant reports.

It had been reported that US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll met with representatives of the Russian delegation in Abu Dhabi Monday, and the continuation of these talks is scheduled for Tuesday.

Peskov told reporters that the Kremlin is following the reports about the meeting of Russian and US representatives in Abu Dhabi. He added that for now, “there is no news” and the Russian authorities have nothing to report.

The Kremlin spokesperson emphasized that Russia is interested in achieving its goals through diplomatic means and continues to remain open to negotiations on Ukraine.
