YEREVAN. - Former Armenian Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan’s security chief Bagrat, who is known by his first name only, imports used tires to Armenia, Zhoghovurd daily writes, referring to its well-informed sources. 

“This news is interesting, because a notice is posted at the Georgia-Armenia border, near Armenia’s customs, [informing] that the import of used tires to Armenia is prohibited. But since Hovik Abrahamyan still maintains, by [the moment of ] ‘inertia,’ his ties with heads of the customs service, they have made an exception for his security chief, and, in fact, gave him a monopoly. We spoke with Bagrat concerning this information, and he noted: ‘I’m a security personnel; I am not engaged in any other work.’ According to our sources, however, Bagrat has a tire service station in Artashat [city],” Zhoghovurd writes.
