YEREVAN. – Clear skies and no snowfall are expected for Armenia, and the air temperature will not change significantly, Hydrometeorology Center’s Forecasting Department Head Gagik Surenyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
In his words, Armenia’s mountainous areas are cold, where the night temperatures could dip all the way to -25 degrees Celsius (°C), whereas the night temperatures at the valleys could reach -13°C. Snowstorm is forecast for high-elevation mountain passes alone.
The lowest temperatures are recorded in Shirak Region, whereas the valleys of Syunik Region are relatively warmer.
Friday’s temperature for capital Yerevan will reach down to -5°C, and to -13 at night.
