YEREVAN. - Baker Tilly Armenia Company run survey on Study in Economic Spheres last year aiming to assess development possibilities in various spheres of economy based on GDP and fixing specialties, which would be in demand for 2012.

The research allows assessing development tendencies of economy and job market, bringing forward job forecasts and employers’ demands, fixing perspectives of enlarging cooperation between employers and the State Employment Service.

GDP forecasts for 2011 and 2012 were fixed based on sales turnover of the organizations and activities. As a result, growth was 1.7% last year, while it is expected to be 3.8% this year.

The following specialties will be in great demand this year: managers, doctors, economists, operators, distributers, cashiers (banking system), body-guards, waiters, tailors, and drivers, the Service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Over 2,500 people appeared in the focus of the employers. As a result, information was gathered for 2,000 companies. 

There were 79,104 employees in organizations under the survey as of Jan. 1, 2010, while the number was 82,296 this January (increased by 2.34%).
