The number of tourists is increasing over time, and 34,000 tourists from China have visited Armenia in just a few months, China’s ambassador to Armenia, Li Xinwei, told reporters Wednesday.

He called this a very good indicator. Also, the diplomat expressed hope that cooperation in the tourism sector will continue to develop and that the interest of Chinese tourists in Armenia will grow even further.

According to China’s ambassador to Armenia, relations between the two countries have developed rapidly in 2025, as reflected in the increased frequency of flights from China to Armenia and in the opposite direction. The ambassador noted that while previously Armenians considered China a distant country, they can now reach it in just four hours.

Also, Li expressed satisfaction that Armenian youth are actively interested in learning Chinese. The diplomat added that mastering Chinese will make it possible to find a dream job. “Worldwide, 1.4 billion people speak Chinese. I am convinced that Armenian youth will be among those 1.4 billion people,” concluded China’s ambassador to Armenia.
