The ban on same sex marriages in California was recognized as non-constitutional.

The U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has determined, that the eighth amendment to California’s constitution, according to which marriage is formulated as a union of man and woman, hurts gay and lesbian couples.

Gay-activists think that the ban on same sex marriages in California will be eliminated soon. At the same time the Proposition 8 supporters are decisive to fight till the end, right up to the U.S. Supreme Court, Lenta.ru reports.
