Armenia is for the first time purposefully shaping its economy based on the conditions of stable regional peace, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the Armenian government.

“The peace agenda radically changes the structure of the economy, the competitive environment, access to logistics and export markets, creating completely new opportunities for development. That is, Armenia’s economic and institutional transformation doctrine is conditioned also by the new regional and foreign policy environment that is being formed around the Republic of Armenia. And in conditions of peace, the economy must also be transformed, positioned to some extent, which is happening today, these days, right before our eyes. Of course, established peace and the institutionalization of established peace are among our priorities, which must inevitably have its expression in the economy as well,” added the Armenian premier.
