The synchronous connection of its energy system to the power systems of its four neighbors is a priority for Armenia. The Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Davit Khudatyan, stated this during a press conference Tuesday.

In his assessment, this has not only commercial significance, but will also ensure the stability of Armenia’s energy system, just as it is currently happening between Armenia and Georgia, as well as between Armenia and Iran.

Khudatyan expressed confidence that technically connecting Armenia's energy system to the power systems of its four neighbors is possible and there are no obstacles.

"As for the rest, I hope that there will be a development of events—and we [i.e. Armenia] are ready for this development," added the Armenian official.
