YEREVAN. – The Flydubai airline company’s Dubai-Yerevan passenger flight, which on Friday landed in the airport of Iraq’s Erbil city, due to heavy snowfall in Armenia, has returned to Dubai, the company’s manager Vachik Sargsyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.    

He also assured that in Dubai the airline company is taking care of the passengers and is providing them with food and information every four hours. 

And with respect to the flight back to Yerevan, Sargsyan said: “The time for the return is already determined. The plane will land in Yerevan [on Saturday] at 7:35 p.m., and it will leave depart from Yerevan at 8:20 p.m.”

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, due to heavy snowfall in Armenia, the crew of the passenger airplane of the Flydubai airline company, which was conducting the Dubai-Yerevan flight, decided to land in the airport of Iraq’s Erbil city, the press secretary Nelly Cherchinyan of the General Department of Civil Aviation told Armenian News-NEWS.am. According to her, the crew had decided to land in Erbil even before the flight. And once the plane lands in Erbil, the crew will decide the next course of action. But Cherchinyan was unable to inform as to whereabouts the passengers would spend the night. She also stated that Armenia’s Zvartnots International Airport is open for all flights.
