ETCHMIADZIN. – All Armenian Catholicos Karekin II and spiritual leaders held annual meeting in connection to the St. Ghevondyants celebration in the Holy See of Etchmiadzin.

Over 230 priests participated in the meeting, Holy See informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. The meeting concluded that “the priest has the chief role in church-social work” and adopted a statement after the discussion.

“We, servers to the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church, stress the importance of more strengthening our mission in our people’s life. A significant and important mission in a priest’s life is the social service. We praise the Lord that our Church operates its mission effectively through various social activities in assisting poor, vulnerable class in the state,” the statement reads.
