Director of the White House Council on Energy Dominance Jarrod Agen said in an interview with Fox Business that the United States views the situation surrounding Iran’s energy resources as a long-term strategic issue.

According to him, Washington aims to ensure that “Iran’s vast oil reserves are not in the hands of terrorists.”

Agen noted that this concerns a long-term policy related to the security of energy resources and the situation on the global oil market.

Some sources claim that the United States has already begun the process of seizing Iranian oil networks and tankers worth $15 million.
