Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with the Vice President of the Swiss Confederation and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs Ignazio Cassis. The latter received the Armenian foreign minister at the official reception house of the Federal Council, located in the historic part of Bern, in a working lunch format, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.

The interlocutors noted with satisfaction the dynamic development of political dialogue between Armenia and Switzerland and their readiness for further development of partnership in various directions. In this context, the importance of the Armenian government's decision to open an embassy in Bern was underscored as a significant political impulse for expanding and enriching the bilateral agenda.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Ignazio Cassis exchanged views on developments in the South Caucasus and the Middle East.

Minister Mirzoyan presented steps aimed at further institutionalizing the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Minister Mirzoyan highly appreciated Switzerland's support in the ongoing strengthening of democratic institutions in Armenia, as well as in addressing humanitarian issues and the needs of refugees displaced from Karabakh.

The foreign ministers of Armenia and Switzerland exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
