U.S. President Donald Trump claims that Tehran wants to reach a deal to end the conflict, but added that it is "unclear who actually represents Iran."
"We don't know who their leader is. Some people want to negotiate. We have no idea who they are," Trump said.
After Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed in the opening strikes of the war, Tehran announced the appointment of his son, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, as his successor.
"Many are saying he is badly disfigured. They say he lost a leg… and suffered serious injuries. Others say he is dead," Trump stated.
