Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on Wednesday met with Said bin Hamood bin Said Al Mawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology of Oman, in Muscat, as part of his official visit to Oman.
Mirzoyan emphasized that although the main purpose of his visit to Oman was the official opening of the Armenian embassy in Muscat, it also provided a good opportunity to hold sectoral meetings, the Armenian foreign ministry informs.
The interlocutors specifically discussed promoting of aviation and transport connectivity, with both sides emphasizing their willingness to promote the launch of direct flight between Yerevan and Muscat.
In the context of Armenia’s vision for developing regional connectivity, FM Mirzoyan presented the country’s “Crossroads of Peace” initiative, stressing that Armenia is interested in regional stability and promoting dynamic economic partnerships.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Said bin Hamood bin Said Al Mawali exchanged views also on opportunities for exchanging best practices in information technology, digitalization, innovative education, and artificial intelligence.
