US President Donald Trump stated that Washington knows nothing about the attack on Iran's crucial South Pars gas field. Also, he promised that Israel will not launch any more attacks on the field unless Iran decides to attack Qatar's liquefied natural gas plant.

Joe Kent, the US National Counterterrorism Center director who resigned from this post over the war with Iran, said that American activist and Trump supporter Charlie Kirk had spoken out against war with Iran, but was then suddenly killed, and Kent was prohibited from conducting an investigation into this assassination.
