YEREVAN. – Snow is expected throughout Armenia on Saturday and Sunday, Hydrometeorology Center’s Forecasting Department Head Gagik Surenyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am, and he added that wind velocity will reach 20-25 m/sec. in some areas. 

Also, blizzard is forecast for the mountains and mountain passes, whereas hidden ice and low visibility are expected on the roads.

“The temperature will not change significantly on Saturday afternoon, but on Sunday it will drop by 1-5 Celsius (°C) in the entire country,” Surenyan informed. He added that the temperature is expected to fall 4-6 °C on Sunday night.     

The capital Yerevan’s night temperature will drop until 5 °C and rise close to 0 °C in the afternoon. Gagik Surenyan also noted that no snow is forecast for February 20-21.
