Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghai denied U.S. President Donald Trump’s claim that Tehran allegedly requested a ceasefire. He made the statement in a comment to Al Jazeera.
“Trump’s statements that we asked for a ceasefire are false,” he emphasized.
Earlier, Donald Trump claimed that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian had supposedly approached the U.S. administration requesting a cessation of hostilities.
