President Donald Trump, in an interview with The Hill, did not rule out the deployment of US troops in Iran.

When asked whether the American leader ruled out the possibility of sending US ground troops to Iran, Trump gave a negative answer. Smart people would make a deal, he stated, speaking about the possibility of reaching an agreement with Iran.

The US president added, however, that if an agreement is not reached, the US would be ready to discuss the possibility of striking any infrastructure facility in Iran.

In an interview with Axios, the American leader had highly assessed the possibility of concluding a deal with Iran by Tuesday.

Earlier, on Truth Social, Trump had threatened to strike Iran’s energy and civilian infrastructure if the country did not reopen the Strait of Hormuz by Monday.
