The hacker group “Handala” has released a statement claiming a major compromise of retired Israeli Air Force Colonel Vered Haimovich, reports the Telegram channel Shia News.

According to the hackers, Haimovich was appointed by Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir to lead the top-secret 166th Squadron, overseeing drone operations against strategic targets in Iran and managing the Hermes drone series project at Elbit Systems.

The statement alleges shocking details: Haimovich reportedly secretly collaborated with “Handala.”

“At a meeting in a hotel in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, she received €40,000 in cash in exchange for access to Elbit’s security systems. That same night, a recruited hotel employee swapped her personal hard drive, handing over all classified operational information to the group,” the channel writes.

“Handala” also claims that Israel’s internal UAV program security has been compromised, and that paid informants are still active within Haimovich’s team.

As a first step and proof of their claims, the hackers released an archive of 100,000 of the colonel’s emails, promising to reveal all her connections and secrets.
