Negotiations between members of the Iranian and US delegations are taking place in Islamabad in a face-to-face format following consultations with mediators led by Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, CNN reports, citing sources. According to them, the two countries' delegations are "engaged in direct dialogue" in the Pakistani capital.
As previously reported, the Islamabad talks may take place in two formats — both direct and through intermediaries. The Iranian side has not ruled out that the meetings could be extended by a day, Tasnim reported, adding that the Iranian and American delegations have "moved into detailed and technical discussions on several issues."
