Statement by OSCE MG Co-Chairing states on Karabakh conflict is nothing but only a step towards Armenia-Turkey Protocols’ implementation, Heritage faction head Stepan Safaryan told NEWS.am.

According to him, by its actions Armenian side demonstrates interest in relations’ normalization with Turkey and urges Ankara to ratify the Protocols within reasonable time.

But most importantly, the statement for the first time mentions nations’ equality, which proves that in case of Karabakh involvement in negotiation process it will be introduced by Armenian and Azerbaijani communities, Safaryan noted. This will make the conflict settlement impossible and the difference in stances will reach deadlock. Referring to OSCE MG optimistic position on the process, Safaryan said the words were directed to Turkey to induce it ratify the documents early.
