YEREVAN. – Prior to the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) executive body session on Thursday a group of Armavir city residents have organized a protest action protecting the recent mayoral candidate Sevak Minasyan, who was arrested weeks ago for hooliganism. The demonstration participants claimed that they want to tell the president personally that they do believe in Minasyan’s innocence.

Following the party executive session, the Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan approached them and listening their demand said that Sevak Minasyan is arrested legally, while if the demonstrators have a request he is ready to listen to them.
