YEREVAN. – Armenian presidential candidate, opposition Heritage Party Chairman, and former FM Raffi Hovannisian cast his ballot, on Monday morning, at capital city Yerevan’s Election Precinct No. 10/06.

Hovannisian arrived in the precinct alone and on foot and, on his way, he greeted the passersby. When putting his ballot in the ballot box at the precinct, he said: “For the Homeland!”

During the briefing with news reporters, and in response to the query as to why he had come to the precinct without his family members, Hovannisian stated that his family is in Armenia.

The presidential hopeful also informed that he is planning on spending the day with his family, but he will visit his campaign headquarters a few times.

Raffi Hovannisian added that he is preparing for his public rally, which will be held Tuesday at downtown Yerevan’s Liberty Square.
