YEREVAN. – We will achieve results. The Armenian Genocide should be a lesson for the international community so that such occurrences do not repeat. Acting Justice Minister Hrayr Tovmasyan told this to news reporters on Wednesday while visiting capital city Yerevan’s Armenian Genocide Memorial, on the 98th anniversary of the genocide.

Tovmasyan noted that each department is discussing the steps that are necessary to claim compensation and to raise the Armenian Genocide issue in a variety of international instances.

“The [forthcoming] 100th anniversary of the Genocide is neither the beginning nor the end of something; this is a fight for justice, a fight waged against a crime against humanity. The international community has a challenge of not making the genocide phenomenon become a matter of manipulation, or of normalizing their relations with other countries,” Armenia’s acting Justice Minister stated.
