The ruling Republican Party’s (RPA) mayoral candidate stated the aforesaid after having cast his ballot in Sunday’s Yerevan Council elections.
Margaryan came to his election precinct together with his wife and three children. After having voted, he spoke with news reporters.
To the journalists’ remark that reports are coming in with respect to distribution of election bribe, Margaryan denied such information, and noted that such thing cannot occur. He added that he is confident in their victory.
In response to a query on the likelihood of forming a coalition with other political forces if RPA loses the election, Taron Margaryan said as follows:

To note, the Yerevan Council elections kicked off Sunday at 8am, and 464 precincts opened for the voting.
Six political parties and one bloc are running in the vote. They are the Republican Party of Armenia, Prosperous Armenia Party, Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law), Armenian National Congress Party (ANCP), Arakelutyun (Mission) Party , ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party, and the “Barev, [Hello] Yerevan” bloc of parties.
The participating political forces are vying for 65 Council seats. The Yerevan Council election is held with proportional—that is, party—lists only.
