make preferableYEREVAN. – Armenia had a difficult past, but has an independent country and strong nation, businessman and co-founder of Initiatives for Development of Armenia (IDeA) Ruben Vardanyan said.
Speaking during an event dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centennial in an Armenian town of Masis, Vardanyan said the event is a start of a long path on international recognition.
“We are proud not only to remember the Armenian Genocide, but to be full of strength to move forward,” he said.
Organizer of the event, chairman of the charity fund Adibekyan Family Foundation for Advancement Gagik Adibekyan said Armenians will not allow Turks distort the reality and will demand justice.
“Many people are grieving with us and millions of people around the world are sharing our pain. We express our gratitude to the countries that have recognized the Armenian Genocide, condemned it and passed laws criminalizing the denial,” he said.
The event was also attended by the President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan, members of the Armenian government, the ambassadors of countries that have recognized the Armenian Genocide.
