YEREVAN. - Protestors had blocked Yerevan’s Mashtots-Sayat-Nova crossing, but opened it a few minutes ago.

The protest initiators announced that the crossing was blocked for one hour today, but tomorrow it may be blocked for two, and later for more hours. The protestors promised to open the Avenue exactly after one hour and join the protestors in Baghramyan Avenue, Armenian News – NEWS.am correspondent reports.  

Police warned the protestors blocking the Avenue that if it wasn’t opened in an hour, they would use force. Deputy Chief of Police Hunan Poghosyan said the protestors have violated the agreement between them.

According to the “No to Plunder” initiative members, blocking the crossing was a spontaneous expression of disobedience.

Police have increased their forces near the barricade in Baghramyan Avenue. If the police were standing in one row for several days, the number of their rows has increased today. Task force police officers have also been added. Chief of Police Vladimir Gasparyan is in the territory as well.

The protest is going on, being attended by an unprecedented number of people.
