The police in Turkey have attacked on a delegation from the opposition pro-Kurdish “Peoples’ Democratic Party” (HDP), which wanted to enter the primarily Kurdish-populated Silvan city, in the Diyarbakır Province.

The HDP delegation, led by party Co-Chair Figen Yüksekdağ, tried to enter Silvan to protest the curfew that has been imposed in the city and the massacre of the local Kurds for the past ten days, but they were met by police violence, reported Diken website of Turkey.

At first, the Turkish law enforcement used water cannons against these Kurdish politicians, and then they fired gas bombs at them.

As a result, one of these gas bombs hit Yüksekdağ in the head.

Over the course of these past ten days, the Turkish police have killed seven Kurds in Silvan.
