The agreement, which was reached on Tuesday at noon and with respect to cease fire along the zone of contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces, was primarily maintained at night, the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Ministry of Defense informed.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Defense of Armenia, Seyran Ohanyan, said Wednesday that the chiefs of general staffs of the armed forces of Armenia and Azerbaijan met on Tuesday in Moscow, where a cease-fire agreement was reached.

He also said the military actions unleashed by Azerbaijan were unprecedented not only since the truce in 1994, but also as compared to the first Karabakh war, in terms of the types of military equipment used, the presence of terrorists and mercenaries as well as large numbers of casualties. “Given the apparent nature of the aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan, they were prepared in advance and not proportionate,” the Minister said adding that there were evident war crimes, torture, decapitation, and unleashed actions.

“Azerbaijan, however, has not achieved anything,” Ohanyan went on to say noting that the control in the north and the south is under the NKR Defense Army.

Artsrun Hovhannisyan, the press secretary of the Minister of Defense of Armenia, has published the photos of exploded and non-exploded rockets of the Smerch “whirlwind" heavy multiple rocket launchers, which Azerbaijan used, in the early morning hours on Tuesday, at the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces.

The Karabakh side has suffered 29 casualties, and 100 soldiers were wounded during the aggression which Azerbaijan unleashed starting on April 2, a Karabakh defense army representative said.

The NKR Presidential Spokesperson, Davit Babayan, said there are all grounds to state that Azerbaijan uses ISIS members in its hostilities against NKR.
