YEREVAN. – The French government bill which the National Assembly unanimously passed, and according to which amendments will be made in the French Law on Equality and Citizenship, thus criminalizing the denial of genocides, crimes against humanity, and, accordingly, Armenian Genocide denial, too, is very pleasing.

Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian stated the aforesaid speaking to the Public Television of Armenia.

“We hope that the Senate of France likewise will approve this draft and it will have the force of law,” added Nalbandian. “And with this move, France will make another important, valuable move in the noble deed of prevention of genocide, crimes against humanity.”
