YEREVAN. – Foreign citizens may reside in Armenia within the period specified in the residence permit visa they have been issued, or for 180 days a year, if a visa free regime is in effect with the given country, unless otherwise specified by international agreements.
The Passport and Visa Department of the Police of Armenia informed that in case of violation of these requirements, the respective foreigners are subject to liability in the amount of 50,000 to 100,000 drams (about US$104-208), pursuant to the Code of Administrative Offenses of Armenia.
To note, however, this provision does not apply to dual citizens.
