YEREVAN. – In his words of thanks after being reelected ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Chairman during Saturday’s 16th RPA congress in capital city Yerevan, President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, pointed to the seven principles which he will be guided by as RPA Chairman.
“Let our young colleagues, the new generation perceive this thesis as seven advices that shall be followed constantly,” Sargsyan said, and noted:
“1) Let your first concern be the security of our country.
“2) Direct your efforts toward the strengthening of lawfulness and justice in our free and independent country. (…). You cannot establish lawfulness by unlawful means.
“3) Peace at the border is unbroken when it is peaceful inside the border. (…). Our people deserve light and peace.
“4) The glance that follows solely challenges misses opportunity after opportunity.
“5) Let your fifth effort be the ensuring of the people’s prosperity, work and security, entrepreneurship and progress. (…). Hurry slowly, since each and every real progress, each and ever phase of progress has an imperative of its course, its pulse, its pace.
“6) Direct your sixth effort to bridging the past and the future of our glorious nation.
“7) Direct your seventh effort to bring new meaning to the period you inherited, and the tasks it has set.
“Optimism in the most difficult moments will sometimes become your only comrade in arms. Be optimistic toward the future of Armenia and our people!”
