YEREVAN. – The root of all of Armenia’s evil, social conditions, emigration, state of the army, non-existence of justice, and human rights violations is corruption, and the state officials’ widespread and insatiable looting of national wealth. 

Opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) Party Founding Chairman and First President of Armenia, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, noted the above-said in his keynote address at Saturday’s 2nd ANC Party convention (PHOTOS).

As per the First President, however, this is solely the tip of the iceberg.  

“The invisible [part] is the political philosophy that is put at the foundation of Armenian state-building, ever since 1998,” he added. “In other words, [it is] the policy of maintaining the Karabakh status quo and developing under the conditions of blockades for one hundred more years.”

Ter-Petrosyan also criticized the incumbent Armenian authorities’ ideology of “nation-army.”
