YEREVAN. - The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia will cooperate more closely with the Defense Ministry in the sphere of civil defense.
Newly-appointed Minister of Emergency Situations, former Deputy Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan said the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am Monday.
Responding to the question on his first steps as a minister, Tonoyan noted that he will first get familiarized with the situation. Referring to the important steps and possible changes to be made in the Ministry’s activity, he pointed a more close cooperation with the Defense Ministry in the sphere of civil defense. “Let me work for 100 days, and then we will talk,” Tonoyan added.
Upon the decree of the Armenian President, Davit Tonoyan was on Monday relieved of his duties as a Deputy Defense Minister and appointed a Minister of Emergency Situations.
