The killing of young man, who was detained on suspicion of theft at a shopping mall, has caused quite a stir in Turkey.

A video, which shows a police officer killing this young man, has appeared, according to Hürriyet daily of the country.

The recording shows the said police officer catching the young robbery suspect, and hitting him in the head with the grip of his pistol. Subsequently, a shot is fired, and the young man falls to the ground and dies from the gunshot wound to his head.

But the police officer in question said he had no intention of shooting, and that he just wanted to hit the young man with the grip of his pistol, whereas the shooting was unintentional.
