YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan on Thursday met with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), in New York.

The interlocutors discussed agenda issues, and stressed the need for steps to be taken toward further deepening of cooperation between the two countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. Also, they recorded the achievements in tourism sector.

In addition, the FMs highlighted that the Armenian community in the UAE also contributes to the warm friendly relations between the two countries, and they exchanged views on urgent regional and international matters.

Separately, the Armenian FM briefed his UAE colleague on the 17th summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie—and which Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan will host in October.

Also, Mnatsakanyan reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to achieve a solely pacific resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) conflict, and under the auspices of the co-chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group.
