YEREVAN.- Our goal is not to get a new political monopoly through the post-revolutionary euphoria that will not make the country better, our goal is to make the rules of the game understandable for all political forces and to get the consensus of political forces. MP from Armenian National Assembly parliamentary faction, MP Mikayel Melkumyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am, commenting on PM Pashinyan's statement on snap parliamentary elections.

"If 90% of the political forces do not agree, it does not mean that the leadership of the executive power should force them to do that," said Melkumyan.

Referring to the terms of the elections, the PAP MP only mentioned that at least 6-7 months are necessary after adopting the Electoral Code for holding snap parliamentary elections.

According to Melkumyan, the parties should put aside their party interests in this issue all and have a state approach.
