YEREVAN. – The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) is not ready for snap parliamentary elections in December, head of RPA faction Vahram Baghdasaryan said commenting on Armenian PM’s statement.

“We are supportive of any elections held within the Constitution,” Baghdasaryan told reporters in the parliament.

Baghdasaryan did not agree with the accusations that the draft bill proposed by their parliamentary group is aimed at ruining PM’s program to dissolve the parliament and hold snap parliamentary elections after his resignation with the help of public pressure.

“Our goal is to strengthen constitutionality only and not to have pressure. We want to have normal political environment, and we are ready for snap elections,” he added.

Earlier representatives of RPA, Tsarukyan and ARF parliamentary groups held close discussion in the library of the National Assembly.
